Summer 2012 Financial Aid
Students must be in compliance with the University of Connecticut's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy to be eligible for Federal financial aid for the summer. Satisfactory Academic Progress will be evaluated in May, 2012.
If you plan to take summer courses at UConn during the 2012 summer session, and wish to be considered for financial aid, the following items are required:
- A valid 2011-2012 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) - to be considered for Summer Work-Study, Federal Pell Grant, Federal PLUS Loan, or any remaining Federal Stafford Loan eligibility.
- A Private (Alternative) Loan application submitted directly with a lender of your choice - if applying for a Private (Alternative) Loan.
- You are encouraged to exhaust all Federal Loan eligibility prior to applying for Private (Alternative) loans. See Direct Stafford Loan and Direct Parent PLUS or Graduate PLUS eligibility.
NOTE: A separate summer application is NOT required to be considered for summer financial aid.
Additional information is available for students enrolled in the Three Summers Program and the Teacher Certification Program for College Graduates (TCPCG).
