Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans

Students who borrow under the Federal Stafford Loan program are required to complete entrance counseling before receiving loan funds from their first loan.

The first step is for you to accept your Federal Stafford Loan(s) and choose a lender via the Student Administration System. You will then be notified via HuskyMail when it is time for you to complete the Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note processes.

Click on the “View Required Items” link, then follow instructions to complete your entrance counseling using the “Required Financial Aid Forms” link. You may also go directly to the entrance counseling page on our website.

Note: You will not be able to complete this process until you receive an email from the Office of Student Financial Aid Services (OSFAS).
